MAKAR SANKRANTI AS CELEBRATED IN 7 DIFFERENT STATES

Makar Sankranti—the first day of the Sun’s transit into Makara, marking the end of winter and the beginning of warmer and longer days, also marks a new beginning in our lives. This day is celebrated in various ways under different names in different states of India.

MAHARASHTRA (MAGHI SANKRANT)

GUJRAT (UTTARAYAN)
